About Us

M.J.Smith and Partners (MJSP) is a specialist management consultancy with extensive experience within the arena of conflict management. MJSP’s main focus is on addressing issues before they deteriorate into more official processes such as ‘formal grievance’. MJSP offers mediation programs that are private and confidential delivered in an informal manner. All MJSP mediators are accredited with the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators of Australia.

MJSP offers qualified independent mediators that are external to your organisation allowing them to be objective and balanced in the facilitation of the mediation program. MJSP mediators are constantly focused on the final outcome of consensual resolution whilst delivering a just and unbiased mediation program. The role of a MJSP mediator is to:
- be impartial;
- act as a facilitator or the process, not a judge on the issues;
- clarify the points that are raised in order to help the parties reach a solution themselves; 
- improve dialogue; and
- develop and offer alternatives that will help reach a consensual resolution by the parties.
